Recording online sessions with official Microsoft course content
Hello, we are Microsoft Learning Partners. We have developed a certification preparation course and would like to know more about recording and distributing training sessions.
Our Microsoft training is delivered by a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) with official Microsoft materials and we are using XtremeLabs labs.
The course has several online sessions on different days. Some participants may arrive late to one or two online sessions, so we would like to record the sessions on video to help them see what they missed. Our lessons are held via Zoom and on our LMS portal (Talent LMS), so only course participants can see the recording and no one can download it. The recordings are deleted when we close the course (about 2 weeks).
We checked and found the following instructions at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/training-services-partner/updated-class-recording-policy/m-p/.... On the other hand, MCT sent us some information (trainer agreement with Microsoft) saying the opposite, that we can't record the sessions. Faced with this doubt, we didn't record.
We would like to know if, as learning partners, we can provide the participants with recordings of the online lessons led by trainers (MCT), using the official course material as supplementary material, as defined above?

You should ask on the Training Services Partner forum where you found the post, or maybe on https://trainingsupport.microsoft.com/en-us/iltvilt/forum
The recording policy has changed and many MCTs and TSPs are unaware of this change. You can now record but the rules are extremely strict i.e., can only be made available to students who attended the course and only for 6 months. It is your responsibility to secure the recordings.
Your circumstances appear to me to breach the rules as you are providing recordings to students who did not attend the session.
Further: As part of the changed policy, MCTs can decline to be recorded.- Julian_SharpLearn ExpertAlso, the MCT Program Agreement which says you cannot record will be updated in the new year as it is out of date in this any other things
