Microsoft Word: Cascading Menu from SharePoint Online List and Feeds Metadata

I have a SharePoint Online list for Job Families. It has one column for the job family and one column for the job role. There are many job roles for each job family. I need to create a Word document where users can select a dropdown that feeds from this list. I need the job family column to only display distinct values and the job role that filters the roles to only show those that are in that family chosen above. Then when selected, I need these selected choices to feed into the metadata for the SharePoint Online document library that stores these job descriptions. Is this even possible?
