Laptop won't sleep
Hello,
Got a new HP Victus 16 laptop with a windows 11 installed. Windows is up to date - however, every time I try to put the laptop to sleep, it won't, but the screen goes black, as I have to do it 2-3 times until the light indicator on the laptop flashes. However, if it did sleep, I can still hear the fans going on, compared to an old business HP laptop with Windows 10, which goes to sleep perfectly without issues, and the fans are halted.
Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated.

HP Victus laptops are notoriously problematic with sleep due to aggressive Modern Standby implementation and NVIDIA drivers keeping the system awake. Even if you force S3, some firmware still won’t let it function properly. If Modern Standby is your only option, you'll need to optimize it or consider using hibernate instead.
