Lab - Design a report in Power BI desktop, Part 1 Sign In problem
I am trying to do the
Lab - Design a report in Power BI desktop, Part 1
At Step 4 of Exercise 1, Task 1, in order to sign in Power BI, it's instructed to "Enter the account details provided to you." Where do I get this "Account details"?
Thanks!

I have the same question.
Logging in with my personal powerbi service account does not seem to work, since it disallows uploading of the file.

I am having the same issues. I can't even create a Power BI account since I don't have something that MS recognizes as a work email. I tried looking through the lab materials in the virtual machine and the only .txt files that said anything about username and password had blanks after them. I also didn't receive credentials through my email. I tried just doing the other parts (Exercise 1 Task 3 through task 5). Other than the publishing and connection with Power BI service it still gave me an idea of how it works but I think the next lab may be more of a struggle.
- HieulntCopper ContributorI'm facing the same problem at this step 😞

I also have the same problem
- BernardSiahaanTWCopper ContributorI found the explanation from Microsoft, and now solved my problem.
if we don't have the Work Account, we can create it through Microsoft 365 Trial.

Hi
But the instruction said the account details have already been provided. Creating a new on is contrary to that statement.

sissizhang Facing the same issue too. Seems like this has been present for months.
- Julian_SharpLearn ExpertHi
I gather that you are following the DA-100 labs in GitHub from what you have said
These labs have been designed to run as part of an instructor led course where you are provided with a hosted lab environment where Power BI has been deployed and a work account is provided for the training
If you are trying to work through these labs outside of the lab environment then you will need to create a Microsoft 365\Azure AD tenant and sign up for a Power BI Pro trial, unless you have full access to a Power BI Pro workspace
You can sign up for a Microsoft 365 E3 trial at https://portal.office.com/Signup?OfferId=B07A1127-DE83-4a6d-9F85-2C104BDAE8B4&dl=ENTERPRISEPACK&ali=1 (instructions https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-admin-signing-up-for-power-bi-with-a-new-office-365-trial) and then you can add a Power BI trial to this tenant https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-admin-syndication-partner#purchase-from-microsoft-or-another-channel
Trials are free for 30 days
- tssraoCopper ContributorI am also facing the same issue.
(Check out Resources) is mentioned at point number 4. There is no resources in the instructions or help. Checked all files in the D drive. There are few text files with username and password as single space- Julian_SharpLearn ExpertThe Resources here are what you would see in a hosted lab environment provided as part of an instructor led course. The 😧 drive is the drive in the virtual machine provided in the hosted lab environment
