How to access my web mail to outlook
Hi,
I'm looking for a way to access my webmail through Outlook. although I appreciate Gmail's functionality and I'm previously using that, but I find the interface and overall experience of Outlook more appealing. So looking for a solution that allows me to manage my emails from my website page using my outlook account. With Gmail, I know that this is possible, but I would prefer to utilize outlook's because of better experience. I will appreciate yor

To access your webmail through Outlook, you can set up an email account using the IMAP or POP3 protocol. Here's a general guide on how to do it:
Open Microsoft Outlook on your computer.
Click on the "File" tab in the top-left corner of the Outlook window.
Under the "Info" section, click on "Add Account."
In the "Add Account" window, select the option "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next."
Choose "POP or IMAP" and click "Next."
Fill in the required information:
- Your Name: Enter your full name or the name you want to be displayed when sending emails.
- Email Address: Enter your full email address (e.g., email address removed for privacy reasons).
- Account Type: Choose either "IMAP" or "POP3." IMAP is recommended as it syncs your emails across devices, while POP3 downloads the emails to your local device.
- Incoming Mail Server: Enter the IMAP or POP3 server address provided by your webmail service provider.
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Enter the SMTP server address provided by your webmail service provider.
Fill in the login information:
- User Name: Enter your full email address.
- Password: Enter the password associated with your webmail account.
Click on the "More Settings" button.
In the "Internet Email Settings" window, go to the "Outgoing Server" tab.
Check the box that says, "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication," and select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server."
Go to the "Advanced" tab.
If you are using IMAP:
- Incoming server (IMAP): 993
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL/TLS
If you are using POP3:
diffCopy code- Incoming server (POP3): 995 - Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL/TLS13. If you are using IMAP:
diffCopy code- Outgoing server (SMTP): 587 - Use the following type of encrypted connection: STARTTLSIf you are using POP3:

Click "Next" in the "Add Account" window to test the account settings. Outlook will verify the information and establish a connection with your webmail server.
Once the tests are successful, click "Close."
Finally, click "Finish" to complete the setup.
Outlook will start syncing your webmail account, and you should see your emails, folders, and other data in the Outlook application. You can now send and receive emails using your webmail account through Outlook.

I was never able to get any type of “real tech support” from EBOX.
Furthermore their security certificate is invalid, Outlook doesn’t like that…
So I decided to “back the train up” and go back to my “Old ISP” that I was still paying to retain my email address…
You had the perfect solution, but for the fact that’s a “closed” webmail server, and they won’t give me the proper info/credentials to configure Outlook…

The steps below will help you access your webmail and your Outlook account.
• Begin by opening the Outlook account and then going to the File option.
• In the help pane, choose Info and then select Add account.
• Once the Add Account dialogue box appears on the screen, you need to select either Manual setup or the additional server type option.
• Then, click on the POP or IMAP box and select Next.
• Afterward, you are required to fill in all the required Webmail account details in their specific field.
• Also, select the More Settings option.
• Move to the Outgoing Server tab and click the checkbox My outgoing server requires authentication.
• Next, move to the Advanced tab; select Incoming Server (IMAP), enter 993, and select SSL and Outgoing Server (SMTP), enter 465, and select SSL.
• Once a prompt asks, ‘Do you want to continue using this server’ then choose Yes.
• Verify the steps to complete Test Account Settings.
• Finally, you will be able to access your webmail account through Outlook.
