I am a Visual Studio Professional subscriber with an active subscription valid through 2028. The Microsoft 365 Developer Program correctly recognizes my Visual Studio subscription and allows me to provision an E5 Instant Sandbox. However, the setup now requires creation of a Billing Account and entry of a credit card/payment method. The Developer Subscription is advertised as free. Is a payment method now mandatory for Visual Studio subscribers, or is there an alternative verification process that does not require a credit card?
