users can create office 365 groups again, UsersPermissionToCreateGroupsEnabled ignored?
i have recognized that my default users are able to create office 365 groups again. i have disabled the group creation month ago by setting the following command in my tenant (and is still set):
Set-MsolCompanySettings -UsersPermissionToCreateGroupsEnabled $False
users were not able to create groups out of outlook, sharepoint, planner, ... but now they can do it again.
is it neccessary to define a group who are allowed to create groups (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Control-who-can-create-Office-365-Groups-4c46c8cb-17d0-44b5-9776-005fced8e618)?
i have tested this in two tenants, the behavior is the same.
does someone have the same issue?
Yes, it's necessary to follow the steps from the article you cited. The UsersPermissionToCreateGroupsEnabled relates to security groups, not Office 365 groups.
