Change O365 group email address using powershell
Hi Peter
We are very sorry you've been blocked with your regular functionality because of this issue. We have already checked in the fix and it could take up to Friday for it to reach you, depending upon the forest you are in. The same has been updated on the advisory.
In the meantime you can raise a ticket specifically to have the primary SMTP address of your affected group manually updated. If you don't get help through support, please reach out to me personally at mosarosh@microsoft.com. Apologies for the issues again.
Thank you Mohammad, I appreciate your reply.
Are you sure that support is able to change the SMTP manually using commands beyond what I can access? I tried all the alternate commands with no effect.
Our server is YQBPR0101MB2019. Do you think there's any way it could be pushed out to that server to allow us to work tonight? I am under intense pressure to finish the migration by midnight tonight (Tuesday June 12) EST.
Thank you,
Peter

My tenant was also updated, and I am now able to update primarysmtp again via set-unifiedgroup

So people are aware, the change was deployed to our servers today and we are now able to run the command without issue and complete our migration.
