Microsoft Copilot with commercial data protection

Hello,

We are set up to use the Microsoft Copilot site with commercial data protection and I find that it works great for what I have needed, especially in the Edge side bar.  However, someone brought up an interesting use case and I can't get it to work when using the commercial data protection version.  If I upload a picture and then ask a question about that picture, I will get a message that says "It looks like your last message was interrupted".  If I log out of Edge/Copilot and try the standard site without the commercial protection, then it appears to work fine.  Does anyone know if there are settings somewhere that need to be changed to allow this?

Thanks,

Eric Krueger

Hello, Copilot uses your work or school account for authentication and only allows you to access Copilot with commercial data protection when you’re using that account. Please check if you have a data source configured to enable access to image, if the image/picture is not enabled to be accessed it will be blocked in Microsoft Copilot with commercial data protection

      Hello,
Where would you look to see if the data source is configured? In this case I have tried a random picture I took and is stored in my OneDrive as well as downloaded a random picture from the internet and put it in my downloads folder on my hard drive. From there I chose to add a picture in the Copilot window and it appears to upload the file, but then I put "Describe this picture" at the prompt and when I click the submit button, it takes a few seconds and then comes back with that message.

I have not personally done yet but you can validated as per below:

        Verify Copilot Configuration
Check the Copilot settings to ensure that it has the necessary permissions to process images.

Open the Copilot settings or admin portal.
Look for any settings related to data processing, especially those related to images and file uploads.
Ensure that there are no restrictions or additional security measures that might be blocking this functionality.
