How to re-index my OneDrive Online?

My "online" searches in Onedrive are always returning nothing. Regardless of searching for text, content, or even the file name!

How can I re-index my OneDrive?

(well, I want to show you what I get, I have plenty of zip and txt)

As far as I can tell, you are using OneDrive Personal. This forum is primarily intended for Microsoft 365 Copilot-related topics, not for OneDrive-specific questions. That might explain why others are suggesting solutions that aren't available to you.

I recommend posting your question here instead: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice

This is the official Microsoft 365 and Office forum for Personal Accounts, where you're more likely to receive accurate and relevant answers.

Hi, to re-index files in OneDrive Online, go to the OneDrive web app, select the files or folders, click the three dots (...), and choose Re-index. This helps refresh search indexing. Also, ensure the files are synced and searchable formats like .txt are supported. If issues persist, try clearing browser cache or using a different browser.

Mate, read the other comments, I have already said that this option is not available in my Onedrive web version -- and showed that.

Hello, were you able to resolve the issue after that?

It might not be synced the OneDrive on your PC and the OneDrive on the cloud.

I have created some precautions and steps to take if you do sync.

If it's already synced but doesn't show up in searches,
    that's probably a different issue.

No, nor I neither Microsoft support have not been able to solve the issue.

The data is synced, and does not appear in searches.

Select files/folders in OneDrive web version → Tap... → Re-index.

I tried a lot to find out. Unfortunately, my OneDrive online does not bring me that option. And I am the admin. Can you send a screenshot or something like that?

Thank you, though mine does not show any re-index option. I am the administrator of this account.

Thanks for your reply, but mine has no option to re-index. And I am the administrator of this Account.
