copilot
Hello, I have been working with Copilot for quite a while now, but I understand that the Copilot icon should be in the ribbon in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
These integrations with copilot AI with MS Office would improve productivity to another level.
My copilot is PIN where the other apps are PIN, but I can't install it in the above-mentioned apps.
Does this mean that this is a license issue or I could expect that eventually Copilot will be installed as described above or it mean that I need to reinstall Copilot? Thanks for your input.
- Bipin-prakashBrass ContributorHi,
Can you elaborate what you mean by My copilot is PIN? Assuming you have the licenses for Copilot for M365( not just Copilot), a good way to check would be to go to Office.com. Once you are there, if you see Copilot, it will mean that you are licensed for Copilot for M365. If that is the case, you can try to update your license by going to file, account, update license as shared by Chris. If that does not work, you might need to reinstall Office from the office portal or software center depending on the delivery mechanism your org uses. - reachrjIron ContributorIf you have the correct Copilot license and your apps are setup as Current Channel or Monthly enterprise channel, you should see the Copilot icon pinned to the apps Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote etc.
- Chris_FerraroSteel ContributorNot sure I follow the question - are you not seeing Copilot in your desktop apps? If so you can try updating your license in the desktop app. (File --> Account --> Update License button on the right side
