You're not alone gjayne, Copilot in desktop Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can be inconsistent. Make sure you're signed in only with the Copilot-licensed account, and that the file is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint linked to that account. Also, Copilot requires Version 2311 or later and Monthly Enterprise Channel which you have, so you're close! A repair install of Office sometimes helps too. Hopefully MS improves stability soon
