Viewer Only Mode - Per User Setting

Hi,

I wish to install A4E on desktops / VDI but then use full licence (via Shared Computer Activation) for some users but then Viewer Mode for other, non-licensed users.

This article says that the only way to do this is through a machine side policy, which seems a bit odd to me. Anybody got any tips as to how to get this work? Don't want to be adding machine-side policy settings based on the user that's logging in (e.g. via a Scheduled Task or something like that).
