Profile Pictures Inconsistent Across Apps

Refer to attached picture for context. I'm using O365 ProPlus.

Why do profile pictures display different based on the application being used? It appears that (Word, Excel, PPT, OneNote) reference a different profile picture than the one I have associated with my O365 account. When I try to update the profile picture within (Word, Excel, PPT, OneNote) it takes me to my O365 account where the profile picture is the one I want to use. But t(Word, Excel, PPT, OneNote) are still using a profile picture from a few years ago.
