OneNote cloud sync seems to be broken

I am using the OneNote web clipper on Edge Version 86.0.622.69 (Official build) (64-bit) for MacOS 11.0.1 and clipping web pages as web page/article seem to work in the sense that I am getting confirmation. When I try to access the content in OneNote version 16.43 for MacOS it is not there. When I try to access it via a browser using the Web version of OneNote, I can see the newly clipped for a fraction of a second, before it disappears. The interesting thing is that every time I refresh OneNote in the browser, that clipped page show up again, for a fraction of a second, then gone.
