Onenote app on galaxy s8+ won't work

For more than a year I have been unable to use OneNote on my phone as just locks ups.
Uninstall and reinstall works for a short time, but before I can sync all my data it locks up on purple screen and that's it. So frustrating. I've tried all the things I've seen might work. Please help as my whole life is on OneNote.
