In get data section is Oracle database option lost

Hi!

I use Microsoft 365 Apps for business. In here I always had option to get data from Oracle database. But last couple of months I haven't had that option in databases list to get data from Oracle database.
Why this option/possibility has lost and how I could get it back?

For example in PowerBi I still have that option/possibility in the list.

  • There could be several reasons why you're no longer seeing the option to get data from an Oracle database in Microsoft Excel. Here are a few things you can check:

    1. Check if the Oracle driver is installed: In order to connect to an Oracle database from Microsoft Excel, you need to have the Oracle driver installed on your computer. You can check if the driver is installed by going to the Windows Control Panel and looking for the Oracle driver in the list of installed programs. If the driver is not installed, you'll need to download and install it from the Oracle website.

    2. Check if the Oracle database is available: Make sure that the Oracle database you're trying to connect to is available and accessible. If the database is offline or not accessible, you won't be able to connect to it from Microsoft Excel.

    3. Check if the option is enabled in Excel: Sometimes, certain options or features can be disabled in Excel due to security or other settings. Make sure that the option to connect to an Oracle database is enabled in Excel by going to the Excel Options menu, selecting "Add-ins", and then checking if the Oracle option is listed and enabled.

    4. Check if the option is available in a different version of Excel: It's possible that the option to connect to an Oracle database is only available in certain versions or editions of Microsoft Excel. Make sure that you're using a version of Excel that supports connecting to Oracle databases.

If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there may be an issue with your installation of Excel or with the Oracle driver. In this case, you may want to consider reaching out to Microsoft support or Oracle support for further assistance.
