How to install OneNote 2016 without expired Office 365 subscription

Hi,

I've used a family subscription of Office 365 from my father, and now that it has expired so had lots of functions in my OneNote 2016. How to regain full functionality on OneNote 2016? Uninstalling Office 365 didn't help, and you're basically reinstalling the whole thing again when trying to get OneNote back. With that you're back to being tied down by an expired Office 365 sub. Please tell me there is a way to correct this without having to reinstall the whole computer.
