Supported attachment type for Microsoft Office 365 Message Encryption (OME)

May i know .doc supported as attachments in protected emails? (OME) As below 2 documents confusing me.

FAQ mentioned .doc is not supported while .doc is showing under the Supported file types for classification and protection in the table, in 2nd link
