Restrict sensitive information on OneDrive

As far as I can see there is no way to stop a user from saving files with sensitive information like SSN, credit card numbers etc on OneDrive. We can monitor and identify files but not stop them altogether - am I right about this?

    I thought the DLP did the trick.

    Havent tried my self so cant say it's working.

      I have tried with the DLP Policy - it lets me save the information but after the fact it alerts that this information is out there. I am trying to see if we can stop the user from saving the information in the first place.
