New Blog Post | Microsoft Sentinel this Week - Issue #54

Microsoft Sentinel this Week - Issue #54 | Revue (getrevue.co)

Happy Friday all! I hope your week went well. It was a personally taxing week for me. Nothing bad, just a lot of busy work with not enough time to accomplish everything. I’m sure you know how that is and have felt that many times before.
Despite trying to fit an 80-hours inside a 40-hour week, it was a good week.
This community continues to grow. For those that are new to this weekly newsletter - Welcome!
For those that have been here for a long while, or even from the beginning, you’ve heard me talk about how quickly this community grows many times. But watching new subscribers filter in each week is a constant reminder that Microsoft Sentinel is continually filling a void in existing security tools.
And, even with the steady influx of new members, there’s always room for growth. At last report, there are over 15,000 active Microsoft Sentinel customers. While the subscriber count for this newsletter is phenomenal already, it’s still a fraction of that 15,000 opportunity.
I wrote a blog post late last week on All the Ways to Read the Weekly Newsletters for Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender. Share this with someone that needs it this week. Obviously, the more the merrier, but you never know what sharing this valuable resource with a colleague, friend, or customer might do for their career and your relationship.
I hope you agree with me that Microsoft Learn is a valuable resource. Microsoft Learn is an important part of my role here at Microsoft and I see the hard work that goes into developing this resource. As a security person focused on things like Microsoft Sentinel and Defender, I find it extra rewarding when I see Microsoft Learn content that highlights my areas of expertise and focus. So, imagine my delight this past week when the Microsoft Learn team spent some time highlighting all that I love.
I think you’ll appreciate this too:
That’s it from me this week. Still lots of work to do, but family comes first. I’m headed out of town with the wife this weekend to spend a couple days with my youngest son and his wife. If you’ve been a long time reader of this newsletter you know the story. My youngest son was the first of our kids to move away. That’s been extra rough, so I’m really looking forward to this weekend.
I hope you all find something you can cherish and enjoy this weekend.
Talk soon.
