DLP policy tooltips not appearing in Outlook 365

Outlook needs to download the policy data first, this can take some time. Check the C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook folder for any PolicyNudgeRules_*.xml and PolicyNudgeClassificationDefinitions_*.xml files.

Thank you for your reply. I found neither of those files in that Outlook folder. The policy and rule were created over a week ago. What could be preventing them from getting there?

- Try forcing the download via the reg key mentioned here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/troubleshoot/data-loss-prevention/data-loss-prevention-not-work#workaround
- Thanks. I tried that a while ago. The key was never re-created, and the XML files remain missing. Hopefully that is a clue for you?
I have had an open case with MS now for 9 days. They've asked me all the questions found in the troubleshooting article above, and have even suggested that ToolTips don't work on Outlook 2013 or later by design!

Richard- Hi, I've got a really similar problem. Policy Tips has completely stopped working, even though working previously. This is only with Outlook desktop client. PolicyNudges reg file doesn't get created if I delete it. The xml files in localappdata aren't visible either, did you get any further update on this? Thanks in advance
