Feb 21, 2022Data encryption is not displayed for postgresql db.
Hello All,
I have a two different DBs. One is located in UAE, and the other is located in Germany. UAE-based db server displays data encryption under the security category, while the Germany-based doesn't. Is there a particular reason for this???
Knowing that what I really mean is using bring-your-own-key (BYOK) in order to deploy Customer-managed-key (CMK). I checked the supported versions and limitations of using CMK, and they checks out. Both my servers are for general purpose (supported version), but also, both are not in the supported area (storage up to 16TB) according to this doc of MS:-
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/concepts-pricing-tiers#storage
However, I have one that does have data encryption displayed and enabled, while the other does NOT.
Could anyone help me with that????
Thanks,
Hazem
