Assign Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Server
Hi Everyone, We are considering purchasing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Server on our server, but I know that these licenses should be assigned, but I am not sure why we should assign these to us...
Defender for Server licenses cannot be assigned to users. You just need to purchase them against your subscription.

It will depend on the licensing. There are multiple ways you can onboard and manage servers for Defender for Endpoint for Servers. If you are already licensed for Intune then you can use Security Configuration Management feature in Defender and connect it with Intune to manage Servers through the MDE channel.
