AIP DLP Sensitive Info Type
Hi,
Firstly, I'm not sure whether this is the right forum for AIP/DLP questions.
Life was easier when we had the "social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums" - it was a central place for all MS technology questions - it seems these days its all over the place - or maybe its just me?
Anyway, have a quick question:
- When selecting the "Credit Card Number" sensitive info type, how do I find out what the regular expression behind the scenes is? Is there a way to change/update it? (my guess is that this is not possibly as it is a default out-of-the-box MS managed sensitivity type, correct?)
- Will it detect all variations of Credit Card numbers or only the following pattern: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX? (So what about XXXXXXXXXXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX or all the other permutations of writing down a Credit Card number)
- If that's the only pattern the built-in sensitivity type will detect, then I guess I will need to create some custom Sensitivity Info Types using my own Regex?
Thank you,
SK
ShimKwan Hi, have a look at the docs Sensitive information type entity definitions - Microsoft 365 Compliance | Microsoft Docs
Teams has a built-in policy in preview Learn about the default data loss prevention policy in Microsoft Teams (preview) - Microsoft 365 Compliance | Microsoft Docs
You can also add your own sensitive info types, more about that here Get started with custom sensitive information types - Microsoft 365 Compliance | Microsoft Docs
