Student portfolio in OneNote

Hi, greetings from a upper secondary school teacher in Denmark. Please advise if this is not the right forum for this post.

If you give feedback in Edword, Teams rubrics, student Word-files and what-not, how do the students !and the teacher!) keep track of their feedback?

I would like to create student portfolio's in OneNote where students can collect feedback from written assignments.

I would like to hear other teachers' experience.

I blogged a little about this in Danish: https://lektoren.dk/man-retter-da-ikke-i-danske-stile/

Thanks,

Lars

  • Hi, thanks for your post!

You're absolutely right—feedback can get scattered across Edword, Teams rubrics, Word files, and other tools. It’s hard for both students and teachers to keep track.

A simple solution is to use OneNote student portfolios. Students can copy feedback from all sources into their own OneNote section. This way, everything is in one place, and they can reflect on it over time.

    Some teachers also:

    • Paste rubric scores and comments into OneNote.
    • Add screenshots of feedback from Word or Teams.
    • Use OneNote pages for student reflections and goals.

It’s easy to organize by subject or assignment, and it helps students take ownership of their learning.

Thanks for sharing your blog post too—it’s a great conversation starter!
