How to block safari from opening on ipads
Hi all,
How to I prevent users opening safari on ipads via intune?
- To accomplish this go to iOS Configurations and make a new configuration > pick Profile Type : Settings Catalog > in Configuration Settings > search for "Blocked App Bundle IDs" and select this configuration. You can find all the system app bundle id's here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depece748c41/web Safari's bundel id is com.apple.mobilesafari fill that in as 'blocked bundle id'. Assign this configuration to the device.

In your restriction Policy...
Built-In Apps
Block Safari (YES)
This will hide safari and block it from launching.
Unfortunately, you will also prevent any application that needs a browser from working as well.
If you need a browser and not full internet access, put a list of allowed URL's in the feature policy applied to the device.
