Platform Credential for macOS - Secure Enclave
Good morning,
I am piloting the Platform Credential for macOS (Secure Enclave) on my Mac.
Whenever I am prompted to sign in, this window appears:
To proceed, I have to select the Company Portal before a new window appears asking for authentication with Touch ID.
Is this the expected behavior? From an end-user perspective, it is neither intuitive nor practical—it would be expected that the Touch ID authentication window would appear immediately.
Comparing this to the iPhone, where I have a Passkey with Microsoft Authenticator (and also have iCloud Keychain enabled for autocomplete), the passkey is automatically retrieved from Authenticator, requiring only Face ID confirmation.
I would really appreciate any help with this matter.

Hi Ivo, yes, at the moment it’s expected that you have to select Company Portal first before the Touch ID screen appears in macOS. It’s indeed an extra step compared to the smoother passkey experience on iPhone, where iCloud Keychain and Authenticator handle things more directly. Hopefully, future updates will streamline this on Mac, but for now the behavior you’re seeing is normal.
