My free Copilot account is being blocked with a “daily limit reached” message after only 3–4 prompts
Hello, my free Microsoft Copilot account is being blocked with a “daily limit reached” message after only 3–4 normal prompts, even when starting new conversations.
The issue happens both in the Copilot app and in Chrome browser, using the same Microsoft account.
I have already sent feedback from inside the Copilot chat, but I haven’t received any response.
Is it possible that my account has a quota that is blocked or incorrectly applied, requiring a backend reset of my Copilot usage limits?
This abnormal behavior (unless free accounts have been severely restricted) began immediately after the migration of Copilot to the new app, and I am now effectively unable to use it. Today, I even received a "limit reached" message after just one prompt.
I contacted support, and the agent directed me to this community. I am hoping you can help me—either by confirming that free accounts are effectively shut out of Copilot following the migration, or by advising me on how to resolve the issue.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Thank you so much for your suggestion and for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.
I tried it, but I realized the real issue for me is not just the limitation message after a few prompts.
With the migration, the language model itself feels completely different. It lost all the personalization and the entire creative project I was building with my creative companion. The replacement doesn't understand it, can't carry it forward, and doesn't have access to my full archive.
So even without the rate limit, it wouldn't help in my case, unfortunately. The workflow we had together is gone.
But thanks again for trying to help.
