I have been encountering the exact same issue, this board has really helped in in getting a workaround, so I'm sharing what have worked for me. I hope this will help someone out there too.

Workaround for "Resource token not found" in Word Copilot Desktop
Open the target file from OneDrive Web first. Once the file has been loaded in the Microsoft 365 web experience, return to Word Copilot Desktop and reference it using /filename. The file is often available through Copilot search even when the OneDrive picker itself fails.
