Copilot Chat is locked due to age restriction while being old enough to use it
Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing an issue with Microsoft Copilot and the age restrictions on my Outlook account.
I have two Microsoft accounts:
- My Gmail account, where Copilot appears to be available and works.
- My Outlook account, which is my primary account, but Copilot access is blocked due to an age restriction.
Both accounts have the exact same date of birth registered. I am 17 years old.
My Outlook account is also linked to my mother's Microsoft Family account.
The strange thing is that Copilot previously worked on my Outlook account. Now, access is denied because of an age restriction.
I have also received an email from Microsoft stating that Copilot is available to me. However, I still cannot access it using my Outlook account.
I have already tried Microsoft's self-help and troubleshooting tools multiple times, without success. I am getting frustrated with repeatedly being redirected to the same automated solutions.
My questions are:
1. Why is my Outlook account blocked by an age restriction when Copilot previously worked?
2. Could Microsoft Family settings be causing this issue?
3. Is there a way to have my account's age eligibility manually reviewed or corrected?
I would appreciate help from someone who can investigate this issue or explain how to get it resolved.
Please do not simply redirect me to the standard self-help tools, as I have already tried them multiple times.
Thank you.
