Because the downloaded MP4 has clean audio, begin by testing the Stream browser playback path. Encode one short sample with AAC-LC at a fixed 48 kHz sample rate and upload it beside the original; then compare playback in Edge with browser enhancements disabled. If only the original clicks in Stream, provide Microsoft with the source sample, encoded sample, browser version and playback timestamp so the transcoding team can isolate the issue.
