Comparing collaboration patterns of groups of employees

Typically, collaboration varies widely by function, geography, and seniority. It is considered best practice to isolate on as many HR attributes as possible before attempting to understand the difference one HR attribute plays in collaboration (i.e.- reduce confounding factors). However, low sample sizes does not always allow for this, so it is important to note other factors that could be affecting collaboration differences in any analyses that are performed.
