A step closer to Plug and Play?
Is there a possibility of using hardware of our own choice (other than stated compatible hardware devices) with Azure IoT solution accelerators?

Azure IoT solution accelerators do not yet enable IoT Plug and Play. That said, Azure IoT solution accelerators are released as open source, allowing you to build your own devices to use with the solution accelerator. The solution accelerator can also be extended to use your device in additional ways specific to your case.
As the IoT Plug and Play preview moves forward, future solution accelerators will have IoT Plug and Play enabled directly, registering interfaces for anyone to use with their own devices.
