Viva Insights Delayed Delivery does not work when using a Delay Delivery rule.
- Aug 10, 2023
This is a known issue that this Viva Insights schedule send suggestions feature doesnt work with Outlook delay delivery rules. There is a note about this in the documentation here: Schedule send in Outlook - Microsoft Support
If a user sets a recurring rule to delay the Outlook email on Windows desktop, this rule will override and take place first. That's why the user see the email will be sent after 2 mins.

Hi YLin and bknusadc, I will let the product team know of this situation and the context of having enabled Delay Delivery through Outlook. They may have a solution but if not, they will likely build a fix for this soon.
Jake_Caddes Hi, when I compose an email outside of my colleagues' working hours, I get the option at the top of the email, beneath the toolbar, to "schedule send." However, no matter how many times I click "schedule send" it doesn't actually go through. This has been happening for the past week or so and with varying recipients. I am using Outlook desktop.
- JessicaIronsMar 24, 2024Copper ContributorI have the same issue - it used to work beautifully -it would open the side panel and let me adjust the suggested time if I wanted, but now I click on it and it opens the side panel, but nothing helpful in that side panel. How do we get Microsoft to fix this?

TravelingMermaid - Same here. The prompt comes up to delay delivery but there is nothing to click on in Viva Engage (except the settings charm, where I can see the "Schedule Send Options" is activated).
I have seen that Viva engage only allows 3 prompts per day for certain subscriptions, but I have MS365 Enterprise and think it should not be limited.
