The imbalance in available data is certainly worth taking seriously. I think supporting local data collection could make a meaningful difference, particularly when communities help shape datasets around their own realities. Smaller models that work with limited data also deserve more attention. Federated learning is another interesting option because information can remain locally stored. The bigger challenge may be giving local partners more influence over how these systems develop.
