TLS 1.2 Preparation on application server

Hello Guys,

Need some advice regarding with TLS 1.2 upgrade by Microsoft.

My organization is using O365 Exchange Online for our daily email operation.

At the same time, we also have on-premise RedHat Linux server which host our internal ERP resources and database.

Our Redhat server regularly send email to o365 user for any notifications/documents/transaction approval and is still using TLS 1.0.

With the upgrade done by Microsoft on the TLS is my server will be impacted like O365 user will stop receiving notification emails? Anything I need to do to minimize the impact?

Regards

  • How exactly are you sending these e-mails?

If you use plan old SMTP, then you don't need to do anything.

If you use EWS or similar way, then you <may> need to verify this further.

And here's a guide that talks about TLS in RedHat:
