Thank you for your prompt help.
Customer wants to send external SMTP mail as well.
So I am planning to suggest them 3rd party SMTP relay services like,
- SMTP2GO
- SocketLabs
- Mailgun
- SendGrid (with custom SMTP relay setup)
- Postmark
What would you suggest ?
you can use sendgrid for this.

we have deployed sendgrid with both exchange on-prem server and without exchange server.
using sendgrid you can directly route emails from application to sendgrid to your recepients.
but please do a feasibility study before implementation because there are few cons with sendgrid. like dashboard,reporting etc.
