Sharing free/busy information
Is it possible to share calnedars and free/busy information between two companies that are one Exchange Online only and one that is Exchange on-prem only ? The two companies' AD are in trust to each...
Yes, it is possible. The on-premises one will have to configure federation as detailed here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/federation-exchange-2013-help
Once this is done, you can configure organizational relationships between the two orgs:
