Shared mailbox activity report
I'm trying to generate a report showing email activity for each mailbox in our tenant, to see how many items were sent or received in the past 180 days. The plan is to aggregate this data to find out...
You can build your own report based on the message trace data. The issue there is the limited duration you can cover, so you will need to run these periodically.

Is that the best solution though, as I have over 3500 shared mailboxes to query, and doing a message trace on all those would be painful. I was hoping for something a little more prepared.

- You have to get them individually. The alternative would be to license them, so they appear in the built-in report 🙂
