Repairing a failed or crawling Content Index on Exchange 2016

Trying to document this procedure. Everything I see out there references a failed Content Index on the Passive Copy of the database. For example:

Update-MailboxDatabasecopy Database\Server1 –sourceserver Server Name –catalogonly

But what happens if the Index on the Active database fail? Is the command:

Update-MailboxDatabase Database\Server1 –sourceserver Server Name –catalogonly

In this case, would the "Sourceserver" be the server hosting the Passive Copy?
