Prevent auto forwarding but allow exceptions
We have set the default remote domain to disable "Allow Automatic Forwarding"
Now we have some users that have a legit secondary external email address (parent company) and would like to be able to autoforward to that address, we create a forward Mail Flow Rule, emails are forwarded but not all, auto-replies from applications for instance are dropped:
| 3/13/2020 11:04:48 AM | Drop | Reason: [{LED=250 2.1.5 RESOLVER.MSGTYPE.AF; handled AutoForward addressed to external recipient};{MSG=};{FQDN=};{IP=};{LRT=}] |
Reason: [{LED=250 2.1.5 RESOLVER.MSGTYPE.AF; handled AutoForward addressed to external recipient};{MSG=};{FQDN=};{IP=};{LRT=}]
And this one look slike a OOF
| 3/13/2020 8:29:31 AM | Drop | Reason: [{LED=250 2.1.5 RESOLVER.OOF.IntToExt; handled internal OOF addressed to external recipient};{MSG=};{FQDN=};{IP=};{LRT=}] |
Reason: [{LED=250 2.1.5 RESOLVER.OOF.IntToExt; handled internal OOF addressed to external recipient};{MSG=};{FQDN=};{IP=};{LRT=}]
I attach our Mail flow rule:
- Hey Thomas Capacci,
You can create a remote domain in EXO just for the parent company domain, and allow auto-forwarding to it only.
