organizer could not change private meeting to public in room mailbox
Organizer create private meeting and add a meeting room.
Next he remove "private" attribute in his calendar and send actualization
In his calendar the meeting is not private anymore, but in room calendar is still private. Changing name or time of the meeting is changed in room mailbox, but it is still private there.
Is it by design or a bug?
Exchange 2019, Outlook 365
- FellerBrass ContributorReverse process (from public meeting to private) works OK 🙂
- JaapWesseliusCopper ContributorTo rule out any Outlook issues, do you see the same behaviour in OWA?
And do you see this in Exchange 2019 or in Exchange Online (or both)?- FellerBrass ContributorThere is the same behaviour in OWA . Exchange 2019 CU13 on-prem.

Hi Feller,
This is definitely not working as expected.
You can try these steps to resolve this:- Force an update:
Trigger a synchronization by pressing F9 in Outlook. - Restart Outlook:
Completely close and restart the Outlook application to prompt an update. - Remove and re-add the room calendar:
If the problem persists, consider removing and re-adding the room calendar.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance is advisable.
