New outlook profile populated with duplicate emails from exchange server

I'm new to exchange and have created an online profile for work emails including legacy content. When I try and create a new outlook profile in 365 by adding my work email from exchange all the legacy content is duplicated. Most recent emails are not duplicated. How do I get rid of the duplicates from the outlook profile.
