Moving Exchange Hybrid From Exchange 2016 To Exchange SE
Hi, I'm in the process of planning the migration of Exchange Hybrid connectivity from a single Exchange 2016 server to a single Exchange SE server. Below are the steps I've carried out so far ...
the HCW won't specifically say there are firewall errors. There will just be a connection/network error.
DNS will need to be in place before you run the HCW, as it will try and connect using those namespaces when you run it.
Thanks for the reply Dan, changing external\internal DNS before cutting Hybrid over to the new Exchange SE server won't this affect the existing connection with Exchange 2016 where mail flows between EOL?
The whole idea for the change is to move mail flow to the new server, so yes it will affect where EXO sends mail. As long as you have your new Exchange server configured correctly, the change shouldn't casue an impact though.
