Merge Hybrid and Cloud Mailbox
Hi,
we have users who accidently have on prem and online mailboxes in 365. The 365 mailboxes aren't containing any important data. Whats the best way to just remove the online mailboxes? After that i would like to migrate the onprem mailboxes via hybrid to cloud.

please try the following steps
- unassign exchange online plan from the m365 user- manually start entra id connect sync
- delte the exchange online mailbox
- connect to exchange online powershell
Get-User <UPN Azure AD> | Set-User -PermanentlyClearPreviousMailboxInfo
- assisn exchange online plan back to the m365 user
- manually start entra id connect sync
now you should be able to migrate the on prem mailbox to EXO
