iOS 26.4 iPhone Contact Sync with Microsoft Exchange Online
For the past 2–3 weeks, several of our iOS users have been experiencing synchronization issues with Exchange contacts. Contacts intermittently disappear from their devices and then re-sync after some time. In some cases, the re-synchronization process is significantly delayed. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

It seems the problem is not purely with Exchange Online.
Since contacts are disappearing and then re-syncing later, it indicates that synchronization is still working, but the iOS device is losing or delaying its local contact cache.
There are known regressions in iOS 26 affecting Exchange (ActiveSync), including delayed sync and inconsistent contact availability.
This could be:
- iOS 26 contact caching/indexing issues
- ActiveSync throttling or delayed sync cycles
- Native Contacts app instability with Exchange accounts
