FIPFS Event ID 6032 since December 2018
I just noticed that my server hasn't successfully updated its Filtering Engine since December 26th 2018. I get an event log error of the following:
MS Filtering Engine Update process was unsuccessful in contacting the Primary Update Path. Update Path: http://forefrontdl.microsoft.com/server/scanengineupdate
Going to the path results in a 404 error.
Have malware engine updates been abandoned for Exchange on-prem? The latest Docs for Exchange 2019 still mentions it and says nothing about it being deprecated (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/antispam-and-antimalware/antimalware-protection/download-antimalware-updates?view=exchserver-2019)
Would appreciate some clarification. Thanks.
You're getting a regular 404 or 'resource not found' 404?
URL is good, try http://forefrontdl.microsoft.com/server/scanengineupdate/x86/Microsoft/Package/manifest.cab to see if there is anything in between blocking with a 404.

Thanks for confirming it works, I did a deep dive into my firewall and found the problem was with a false positive IPS detection. After correcting that, the filtering engine successfully updated and has been successfully checking/updating every 30 minutes. Thanks!

I'm getting a Resource Not Found:
Server Error in '/' Application.
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /server/scanengineupdateI can download the file you linked fine though.
