Exchange Server and MSERT

Can Microsoft Safety Scanner be run on a exchange 2016 server? I had some odd event log entries so I ran a full scan it would only go about half way before freezing while listing over 100 found viruses. IS this just false positives because MSERT is not setup to run on exchange? Our server is current on all updates.

    There have been updates to it over the years to detect the web shells deployed in Exchange Server attacks, so it should be able to be run on Exchange servers.
