Deleting trace logs in Exchange online

Is it possible to close or delete mail trace logs in Exchange online? If it is possible, how is it done?

It appears that Exchange Online does not provide a built-in option to delete mail tracking logs for a specific period of time.

Trace logs of e-mails sent by one of our staff do not appear on some days. What could be the reason for this? He states that an e-mail he sent was not delivered, but when we want to review it, we cannot see the logs.
